WEEKLY Zoom Calls and recording

14 hours 22 minutes ago #15443 by Barbarella

Bruce wrote: I have just listened in to the recording of this mornings zoom call, and have some concerns about the quality of the sound, or at least some of it. Some of it was very clear, Anita's, Simon's and Steve's, but when it came to Paddy's presentation, some of what he said was indecipherable. Some was clear, some poor quality and some very poor.
From that, I am wondering if it is a problem with Paddy's computer rather than with zoom itself. Is there a way of testing your sound quality Paddy? If so, I'm sure we would all appreciate a clear reception of what you have to say.
I know it's not a problem with my computer, as others have mentioned the sound quality to me.

Thanks Bruce for mentioning this ..Can I add one more note--nothing to hurt just mention-that lamp behind Paddy it kills my eyes -I must cover my screen ( half cover)--and yes this call was really very noisy too that made more difficult to enjoy it -I always mute myself during the call I wait so much new infos

Good point Bruce , yes Paddy you can go into the zoom setting then your audio settings and test the volume. Best to test it with another member.
If this does not work then your soundcard may need upgrading which may be a simple download or a complete replacement which will cost. Other option look for an add-on sound app.

I hope not to long to wait for all the stuff to be completed.

It comes down to money to make it happen end of the day!

I believe that is exactly what our programmers are doing. Almost day n nyt...

Yes they are doing what they can day in night, but still takes a lot of time, but having the funding would automatically speed up the whole process forward.
